Terms of Service

Welcome to EmergencyPetID. By creating an account or using our Service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Service.
1. The Service
EmergencyPetID provides:
- QR pet ID tags
- Emergency wallet cards
- Online pet profiles
- Public emergency pages
- Owner dashboard and subscription access
We may update, improve or modify features of the Service from time to time.
2. Accounts
To use EmergencyPetID, you must:
- Be at least 16 years old
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Not share your account in an unsafe or abusive way
You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.
3. Subscription and billing
EmergencyPetID operates on a recurring subscription model.
Pricing
- £2.99 per month per household
- £19.99 one-off setup fee for your first tag and wallet card
Prices may change in the future. If we change prices, we will give you reasonable notice.
Renewals and cancellations
Your subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard.
If you cancel, your subscription will normally run until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds
Refunds may be considered at our discretion and in line with applicable consumer law. Physical items such as engraved tags and cards may not be refundable once produced, except where required by law (for example, if they are faulty or not as described).
4. Use of public scan pages
When someone scans your QR tag or wallet card, they see the information you choose to display on your public page.
You agree that you will not upload or display:
- False or misleading information
- Offensive, discriminatory or illegal content
- Personal data of another person without their knowledge and consent
5. Our responsibilities
We aim to provide the Service with reasonable skill and care.
However, we do not guarantee that:
- The Service will always be available or error-free
- Every QR scan will work on every device or app used by a third party
- Every person who scans your tag will contact you or follow your instructions
- Using EmergencyPetID will result in your pet being found
EmergencyPetID is an assistance tool to make it easier for people to reach you – it is not a guarantee of pet recovery or emergency response.
6. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Keep your contact details, emergency contacts and pet information accurate and up to date
- Ensure QR tags remain attached and reasonably visible on your pet or equipment
- Use the Service in a lawful and respectful way
- Follow all applicable laws and regulations
7. Intellectual property
All branding, designs, software, text, images and other content within the Service are owned by or licensed to EmergencyPetID.
You may not copy, distribute, modify, reverse-engineer or use any part of the Service except as allowed by these Terms or applicable law.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:
- You seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms
- You misuse or attempt to abuse the Service
- Your payments fail repeatedly and remain unpaid
You may delete your account and request deletion of your personal data at any time, subject to legal retention requirements.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, EmergencyPetID will not be liable for:
- Loss of pets
- Loss of income, business or profits
- Data loss or corruption not caused by our negligence
- Indirect, special or consequential damages
In any case, our total liability to you arising out of or relating to the Service will be limited to the amount you paid to us in the month before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where the law does not permit it (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence).
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, for example by email or within your dashboard.
